Arrived just after 2pm on Easter Monday & decided to give the buffet a go as it was before 3pm. The restaurant was fairly busy but not heaving so we were greeted & seated almost immediately then directed to the menu & the app to place our order. The app kindly asks if you'd like to tip but seeing as you haven't actually received anything but a table being pointed out, it was a bit premature. Although our server said to give him a shout if we needed anything, we didn't actually see him again as our drinks were delivered whilst we were at the salad bar. We were seated directly opposite the salad bar which didn't seem like a problem when we were seated but once other people were skirting round each other & filling their bowls, it was not the best place to be. Also the fixed seats are not very far away from the fixed table so you feel like you are hemmed in as you cannot moved. We grabbed our salads bowls expecting a variety of items like the days of old but were sadly disappointed as it basically consists of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, sweetcorn, coleslaw, bacon bits, soggy tortilla chips & insipid looking dips. We popped them on the table, where the drinks were waiting, & joined the queue for the hot buffet, dodging all of the impatient, pushy children that forced their way past to the ice cream factory. The pizza buffet was all but empty apart from a couple of pieces of vegetable pizza & some hard strips of garlic bread so we complimented them with a bowl of pasta each, which was frankly pretty tasteless & disappointing. When more pizza started to eventually come out, it was obvious that it wasn't just us that were waiting for the refill as the area became swamped again so we waited... Finally, more pizza started coming out so we got the chance to have a proper selection which was OK but no idea what anything was as nothing was labelled. At this point, our appetite's had pretty much disappeared so we had a couple of pieces each & left, without leaving a tip! I remember the lunchtime buffet as being really good value for money with quick service, excellent pizza & a really great salad bar but unfortunately it is not what it was & we should have gone with the chicken across the road.
I went here yesterday with my son, We were served by Tyreese, what a lovely helpful lad. Really helpful and polite, we couldn't find the lighter lunch on the app. The food was lovely and a great friendly atmosphere in there. The girl with the red hair was also really nice, she helped me find a comfy seat and table as I suffer with my back. It was just a lovely experience, all the staff seems super friendly, both when we arrived and when we left. I would definitely visit again.
Our servers Alice and Tyreese were very polite and attentive. The food was hot and delicious, having been prepared and served in a timely manner. Ordering via the app worked well. The only slight niggle was the temperature was a little chilly for my wife but I appreciate that is purely subjective. Bring layers
It's a Pizza Hut, so you know what to expect, not fine dining. It's a pretty good Pizza Hut, compared with others. The staff really made it! Alice, Sam, Tyreese and Toby were friendly and extremely helpful with our table of 7, including learning disability diners. They helped when we were struggling with the app ordering, and were good fun, whilst also professional. Thank- you guys for your warm welcome and assistance. Nice to see smiling, happy staff! Pizza Hut, I hope you consider staff bonuses!
Emily was amazing and asset to the team. we arrived with disabled uncle, seated fast, she took time to speak with us and treated us like we were visiting her home. great smiles by all the team and it was obvious Emily was not only very good at her job but enjoyed it alot! food was great - moving to area and it was lovely start!
